So, after enough people talking about it on various webpages, I ended up coming home with a bottle of Hpnotiq.

It's pretty tasty, though almost too strong for my taste, and I don't mean because of the % of alcohol. It's fruity, REALLY fruity, moreso than some candies. Personally I was hoping for something with more of a refreshing taste like a Margherita, but oh well. Still satisfactory and for drinking Vodka right from the bottle, not bad at all. May be possible to mix it with something (besides water) that will give it a milder taste.

Anyway, the color really IS spot-on. In a normal room, with the right glass, it looks exactly like the End of Line club.

However... much to my disappointment, it is barely UV-reactive. Under a black light, it gives off a dark blue glow, only a bit more blue than the light source you're projecting on it. So even if it were bright enough, which it isn't, it's definitely the wrong color. Not a total loss though. It's a cloudy drink too, so if you're ever feeling bored, you can fire visible laser beams through it. That cloudiness is also probably what makes putting LED or glowsticks into the drink so popular, because it will diffuse all the light and produce a very uniform glow.

Y'know, I always keep meaning to try Hpnotiq because I had a friend in college who loved the stuff, but it's relatively pricey. Now that you've described it, I think I'm not going to waste the dough ever.

Now, I hate to say this, but some shades of Boone's Farm would actually probably work well for drinks...where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

What do you want? I'm busy.

Program, please!

Chaos.... good news.

Not that I expect this to change anyone's mind... since it really is bloody expensive, but I discovered that it's a lot more enjoyable when chilled. No idea why exactly.

I love Hypnotiq but my hubby hates it. His complaints with it are the same as yours TF

I am disappointed that it is not UV reactive. It would have been so awesome as it looks spot-on in regular light to glow in the dark as well If I happen across anything that looks right in UV light I will definitely post it here. Let me know how the Boone's turns out. I actually enjoy cheaper wines sometimes more than the really expensive kind.

End of Line.

Aside from what I said, it's still somehow addictive. I almost finished the bottle already. I think Castor put something in it. Get this stuff away from me.

Diet drinks. Eurrgh! Why do people say they can't taste that artificial sweetener crap when it not only dominates the palate but leaves a horrid semi-metallic aftertaste?

On the seedy side of the Grid we have this miraculous liquid called Everclear. Doesn't get any purer than that, but it'll de-rez you all the same if you have too much of it. Hell, some people can't even take a mere taste of it.

Ask most of the Pinball Tribe, they'll tell you that Pabst Blue Ribbon is the Pure Source. *sigh* Some users...and that's a big differentiation from Users, by the way.

I brew my own Pure Source drinks, like the ten gallons of lovely Twilight Clone currently sitting in secondary. But when I'm out of homebrew, I usually go for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Torpedo IPA, or anything by Deschutes.

Programming is a lot like pinball, actually. The reward for doing it well is the opportunity to do it again.

Diet drinks aren't for some people, plain and simple- but I really think it depends on which one you use to introduce yourself to diet drinks. Diet Coke would seem like the obvious choice, with it being so popular and all, but it's honestly the worst tasting one out there- and, the sweetener it uses (aspartame) has been proven to have addictive qualities. Coke Zero is just as good for you, and it's taste is quite faithful to the original. My father is a huge coke junkie- he can't stand Diet Coke- but he enjoys Coke Zero all the same.

I used to enjoy Mtn. Dew before I went on a diet (You may say it's out of character for someone my age but I have/had a serious weight problem) and so when I discovered Diet Mtn. Dew, I was excited. I seriously love the stuff. It's pretty awesome.

I was introduced to diet drinks with a orange soda called "zevia" and I was interested in it because it used stevia, a natural sweetener, as opposed to aspartame. My mom tried to keep me from drinking diet because she was worried I'd get addicted to the aspartame, so she got me this orange Zevia stuff. It didn't taste very well compared to the full-sugared sodas I was used to, but I drank it anyway because cutting out full-sugared soda would make a huge difference in my weight. It took about 12 cans of it before I thought it tasted just as good as any other soda, and so I branched out into the more mainstream kinds like Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, etc... and they all tasted fine.

So, yes, it is an acquired taste, but it doesn't take much to acquire it. Just find out which kind you're most tolerant of, (as in one that you don't find entirely disgusting) and pretty soon you'll just get used to it. Now, I can't handle drinking full-sugared sodas, it tastes disgusting to me now.

Don't think that switching to diet isn't worth it. Way back when sodas were first introduced, they were kind of like desserts. You had one every day or so, maybe every other day, and it was a treat. Now, you have sodas almost whenever you're thirsty, and every time you have a meal or a snack. And don't think they've gotten BETTER since then- because they've switched from using sugar, to using high-fructose corn syrup- and HFCS is just about the worst thing you can put into your system. It's used to keep things more shelf-stable, but the tradeoff isnt worth it IMHO. Trust me- your life will vastly improve.

Anyways, if you're still not interested in making the switch, what I'd suggest is drinking the "Throwback" sodas. Like, they have those "Pepsi THROWBACK" and "Mtn. Dew THROWBACK" that's packaged in the original can design. It actually isn't just the cheap marketing gimmick of having them packaged in old-fashioned cans- they are made with sugar, and not HFCS.
