Remember the BWM commercial that had a clip of the track 'Outlands' from Tron Legacy? I just saw an Armani perfume commercial that had a clip of the track 'Encom Part I'.

Meh. Commercials always ruin music. Anybody remember that Palladio is more than the diamond commercial song? What about the Hoedown from Rodeo-- it existed long before the beef commercials (even though I'm not really into Copland, except the Fanfare for the Common Man, I'm sore about that anyway-- and the piece IS fun to play). And hell, don't ask me how old I was before I figured out that the "Romeo and Juliet" theme was an actual piece of music by an actual composer, rather than just some stereotypical and overused dorky romance-scene theme-- talk about killing a good piece of music.
I wonder who gets the money from the soundtrack music being used in commercials. Disney, or DP? (I assume the former as they probably own the rights to it, but DP must get a cut?)
What do you want? I'm busy.
