Tron 1.5 soundtrack to a failed late 90's sequel

I don't know if anybody was aware, but apparently there was a failed attempt to make sequel in the late 90's. A soundtrack was even commissioned. You can download this soundtrack at http://tron15.bandcamp.com/. It has a nice story about the making of the album by the person who was commissioned to make the soundtrack.

You can download the entire album in multiple formats including mp3 and flac.

Slightly related, slightly not but this reminds me-- T82 was also re-scored by Mogi Grumbles (i discovered this courtesy of Pandora Radio).

I listened to the entire album today and it's really not that great. No bad per se, but no real good tracks. Certainly nowhere near the quality of Tron or Tron: Legacy soundtracks.

Have either of you picked up "Derezzed?" Didn't get great reviews but I was wondering if it is worth a purchase.

Yes, I have that too. Derezzed is much better than this Tron 1.5 thing, but the official soundtrack to Tron: Legacy is definitely the best out of all of them.

I think I took "derezzed" to mean "reconfigured". I'm not aware of a "derezzed" album.

Oh, we're talking albums. In that case, yeah, I have that one. I think it's worth having; not all of the tracks are fantastic, there are one or two I could definitely live without and I haven't a clue why they chose them, and I've found other remixes of some of the tracks that I like better*, but still like most of it.


*If you really want remixes, head over to Youtube and have a go. End of Line and Derezzed are my favs off the OST, and I have a bunch of different remixes of each-- and that's just the ones I liked out of all the ones I listened to (I had one day where I was just pulling them up and playing them in order while I was cleaning up the apartment, so I had time to just listen and pick the ones I liked).
