Greetings programs!

It took far too many cycles to get this project complete, but I'm finally done. I've completed a TRON themed iCade.

For those that don't know, the iCade is an accessory for the Apple iPad that adds real arcade controls and is supported by quite a few games (including MAME, which means you could run the actual TRON arcade game through this). The original iCade looks like this:


My new iCade looks like this:







There a quite a few improvements. Besides the new control scheme (joystick on the right), it features light up buttons & joystick, integrated iPad charger (for both dock connector & lightning connector), custom side art, and each button's color is user configurable (via an access panel & jumpers).

What does everyone think?

Actually, I am a righty.

Think of classic Atari joysticks... the button is on the left. That's how I learned how to play, so that's the only thing that feels right to me.

Unless your ambidextrous perhaps. For me I never really had a problem using the joystick on the right or the left. In some cases. I just switch my hands around to make things easier. I do that sometime when I play pool at my local pool hall. If I can't do it the way I usually do a shot one way. I switch over and try it the other way.
