Just thought I'd share: I made this to hang on the wall behind my arcade emulator cabinet. the files are now on Thingiverse Just follow the link to check out more images, read the info and instructions, and download the files to make your own (using a 3D printer). Pics don't do it justice!

Flynn's lit marquee box

Wow that is really cool!
How does it glow like that?
So a 3D printer makes it 3D and look lit up like that?

I really want that in my room!!!

Actually, the 3d print builds the structure of the box, marquee bezel the marquee sign, and the light diffuser.

Sharpies are used to correctly color the diffuser for the "neon". I use (working from the center tube out) Neon Yellow, Neon Orange, and standard Orange to get the colors screen accurate.

Lighting is handled by White LED Strips, the kind use in automotive applications. They are powered by a 12v power source, in this case, an AC adapter, but batteries could also be used.

I have more detailed instructions to print and assemble it on it's Thingiverse page HERE.

I can probably make make that, Just ask.
