Any Splatter House fans here? - 6/29/2010 8:32:15 PM Splatter House is one of the first scary and bloody games. It was so bad it got banned at most arcades when it was released in the USA.
I got the Wii version on Turbo Graphics 16, but it's not as good as the original arcade.
I know Sega Genesis made part 2 and 3. And you can get part 2 in the wii point shop.
And now they are making a new Splatter House game.. for the PS3 and XBox .. it looks cool. but I think the voice they used for the mask talking was chessey..
This is a really scary and sinister game! I was wondering if there were any fans in this sector?

Maybe it's just the game freaking me out. or maybe something is really out there! lol

Re: Any Splatter House fans here? - 6/30/2010 5:56:56 PMIt was the first game I played that induced a little bit of fun fear, but the style of horror games of that time was just really cool. They really should make a movie... and I don't think people would react badly to the mask since it looks more like a skull other than Jason's mask... plus the character in the games is a good guy..

Re: Any Splatter House fans here? - 7/28/2010 4:13:42 AMI was just playing it last night (Splatter House 2)... I'm still impressed by the intro to that game. The music and the atmosphere set really well. They just don't make this style of horror games like this anymore.
I also played last night, Ghosts'n'Gobblins and Ghouls'n'Ghosts. Two of my other favorites (but very different in some ways).
Re: Any Splatter House fans here? - 7/29/2010 3:21:50 AM Cool Qix! I just beat Splatter House part 1 on Turbo graphx 16 for the Nintendo Wii.... ! I must say that game is very dark and evil towards the end.. and it's probably the most depressing ending in video game history!
I'm working on splatterhouse 2 and 3 now.. !
And yes I agree the intro.. and music... to splatter house 2 is just awesome.. I with they would make games like this again... on the Wii.. they are making more platform games.. like Super Mario Bros , Donkey Kong country.. they are like games from the side view but with better graphics.. I think they should make horror games like that again..
Oh and Ghouls n Ghosts.. and Ghosts n Goblins.. are two of my fav games ever! I also heard Ghosts N Goblins is like one of the hardest arcades to beat of all time...

Re: Any Splatter House fans here? - 7/29/2010 4:25:29 AMIt is.. and on almost any platform. In MAME, I almost always have to cheat... but I did beat it once without cheating. When Halloween comes around, there are a few classic games on my list to play every year and the GNG games are always the ones I play that morning.

And yeah Ghost n Goblins is so hard, but also very fun! That's what I love about the old arcades they were a challenge and it was worth beating them to see the awesome ending...
