Yeah, I have noticed this as well. Some forums I lurk on which started good have soured badely with hatred.

One reason outta many I guess those other forums have is cause of "newbie bashing". I mean some forums make it to where a new member has to prove their worth to the forum. Or they make being a "newbie" an all out joke and insult. Never understood how a forum expects to expand itself that way when it dosen't like nor want new members. You'd think those forums would get rid of their register button if their that way. *shrugs*

Here we greet and welcome new members and don't give them a hard time for being new. We're actaually thrilled to death to get new memebers. That's great I think. It makes memebers not just feel good about being a memeber but also will guarantee that they will return to the forum.

I do wish other forums had as freindly an atmosphere as this one does. That's one reason I haven't really joined up to many forums is cause of how new members are treated.

Also, the other forum I post at (pvpforums.com) are pretty civil for being such a diverse group. There are a few spats but everyone gets along pretty well and respects each other.
