I just watched the 20th anniversary DVD for the first time on the HDTV i bought.
Progressive Scan + TRON = Good Thing

You forgot to start your post with a "PING!", SteveGaidin. 
I've seen  on both my living room 25" TV (just regular, interlaced picture TV) and my 19" computer monitor. It looks much more crisp and movie-like on my computer, though it's not as comfortable watching it on the computer.
Been thinking about a nice, big HDTV, but it's just not in the budget right now 
You are correct though - Progressive scan + TRON = Good thing!

That's awesome! Talk about getting your daily dose of Tron!! I'm DVD playerless still here (broke)... and I keep forgetting to call the manufacturer of the player to see if they can help me out. It's one of those cheap ones, so I should just buy a new one... or get an XBOX and prepare for Tron: Killer App!!! Naww, I've held off the XBOX a long time now, I'll just wait for the next iteration of either XBOX or PlayStation I think. (LOL, I was one of the sad suckers who went for the DreamCast when it came out. They had a few neat games, and the graphics were good for the time... but it's a shame it wasn't supported by game makers much. And since then, I've just been into PC games more.)
