I'm contemplating a tattoo... and I'm getting it done in regular ink first... then I'm having the outline done in UV ink. it's going to glow like in the film!
If you don't the four color choices, tell me what colors you think would better match the recognizers...
Black
Blue
Green
Red

Use some URL tags. The old copy and paste method can get very annoying. ^^;
Anyways, if you're fair skinned like me, you'd want the black recognizer because it'll show the best. If you have darker skin, your best bet would be the red/orange recognizer. Again, for the same reasons as the black recogizer scenario.

I tried... it did not like them:
did you use [ i m g ] image.jpg[ / i m g ]?

I'm fair skinned, and I was leaning towards the Black and red... here are two links of how the Black and red will look after the UV highlights!
This is going to rule from a very high throne.... I think I'm going to redo my photoshop to more closely match the Recognizer.pdf/paper model that Sketch found!

I'll post pics when I get it done. (11 inches across, on my back!)
I need to talk my tat artist into using the UV ink. It's not something that they do right now...
despite the FDA approval on the new inks. (they are safer than regular tatoo inks!)

definately black.
The paper model reco is a good template - have you also thought about a 3/4 view? The box art on the Medicom Kubrick toy has a great 3/4 reco.
Full on is also cool.

I actually think the green one is more like the one from the movie [i don't remember it being completely black], only a bit darker

I found some images online, but not that great. I'm pretty sure the recognizer image is based on the shot where Flynn flies the reco into the bridge as the game tank is crossing it. The image is reversed on one of the trading cards.
The box art on the Kubricks TRON Set C is very nice, very clean image of an undamaged reco - I think it would look sweet.

You can also download 3D canvas for free and use my recognizer model (available in the files section) to have a view of a recognizer from any angle.

Wow, 11 inches across the back..... Freak'n sweat  ! Now that's what I call a 'fan'.
Peronally, I'd go with black. Although it depends on the color, and how much sun the tat will get, you can count on having to re-ink the color way too often. However if money is no issue, and you don't mind touch-ups every 7 years, go for color....
Please post pics once it's completed  .

I totally will post the pics here first...
I'm still trying to get my artist to use the UV ink...
he said he wanted to talk to his boss about it...
(I even said I would go in halfs on the ink and the light!)

It is supposed to be even safer than regular ink... and since I'm a geek, it will not see the sun often.

on the site they reccomend that you get the tatto done with regular ink... and then highlight in UV... and if it needs re-inking I will have the UV touched up.
