I was one of the radio-geeks in my high school back in the late 80's. We actually had a functioning (and broadcasting) radio station. Everyone within 5 to 7 miles of our station could hear us (pick up the signal)... on a clear day. I sucked at it, but that didn't stop me!

CD's were in full force back then too... BUT we mostly STILL used two turn-tables! Two turn-tables, and two cassette decks. I don't think we had any CD players in the studio.

Sorry, a little off-topic reminiscing.

I'd love to see this happen!

Me and a friend (Evil_Tom_Gu here on the Sector) do a weird radio show every now and again using Windows Media Encoder 9 (freeware), but it's streaming (although you can choose to save the output). But if you're going for the downloadable podcast idea, it's probably not the best choice.

Hmm... I wonder how much easier it would be to do Weed Killer in just audio for a radio show compared to a full-blown video? Not that I'm hinting at anything, Todd!

Heh heh heh...

I red that hidden message loud and clear, NoExcuses!

We'll see if we can coax Weed Killer in to doing a little something for TRON Radio. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

@TronFAQ
What type of music would you like? Wendy Carlos-like music or regular electronic music (breakbeat, drum and bass, techno, trance)?

Mr. Sinistar, sorry I didn't reply sooner. I was one of the people affected by the posting problem.

I think Wendy Carlos style music might be best. I'm guessing people who would listen to a Tron show, would probably be expecting Tron-like music.

I agree and it would make for a great intro and bumper music. If it were me, I would also add some classic rock from that era too... but thats me because I'm an 80's freak anyways... lol...

I'd like to experiment with this sometime if I ever get the chance. I'm sure that once someone starts their Tron radio, a few others would like to do their own as well... It's a chain reaction I've seen happen before but not with radio.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Radio would be a cool Tron thing, so I saw this and thought it would be possible for the community to start here.

I was going to add myself saying, "This is TRON-Sector Radio" in the beginning of the bumper song, but it didn't sound right so I took it out.

I did seriously consider writing some '80s hard rock bumper music, but the unfinished rock song that I wrote really sucked, so I decided to leave it at that.

Oh, I forgot to mention in my previous post that of course bumper music is like going to be only 5-10 seconds long, so whoever is going to handle the audio editing (which I'm also good at) will have to cut a small section of my 2 minute song for bumper music.

Yeah, that's a cool idea. We'd have to keep it to snippets though, and not a whole track, because of copyright issues.

I think. I don't actually know what we could get away with.

At first I thought it wasn't downloading, but then it finally started playing. Sweet!

No need to change anything, I think it sounds terrific as it is! It definitely needs to be used in the show.

I'm thinking of getting this going in about 2-3 weeks from now. I have a plan on where to host the show, how to get people together (i.e. what software to use), etc. I'll let you guys know the details soon, so you can tell me what you think.

Thanks for the kind compliments, TronFAQ!

I'll see if I can try a couple more rock songs for bumper music, though I kinda doubt I can come up with anything good enough.

Oh boy, I can't wait for TRON Radio!!!

BTW, if you're looking for a sound editor I'll be more than happy to help!

Also, what are the chances with getting Steven Lisberger or Richard Taylor on the show? I bet the odds are against us ever since DaveTRON left.

Yeah, I might need some help with that. It all depends on what format we end up going with.

The odds are not good to start with. But, who knows. Maybe if we manage to get a few episodes out, and people really like them, there's a chance down the road.

It is the 25th Anniversay of Tron's release, after all. Some noise should be made, to remind people of that!

Just a thought.

Dragon Naturally Speaking is around $200 and has around 99% accuracy, but if you aren't on a tight budget, you could get the Medical Edition. It's a steal at only $959.99!!

If you don't want anymore junk on your computer, you could just hire a shorthand typer from court or a closed captioning company or something.

Sorry for bumping this topic, but I felt like this project needed reviving.

I thought this was such an awesome idea and it felt like it had to be done, you know what I mean?

I think if we get someone willing to record themselves talking about about Tron and then give the voice clips to someone with the right software to edit it into a short show (this is where I can help out ), and then upload it on Tron-Sector as a podcast; it could really work, IMO.

I concur!

Me and Mr. Sinistar have been making little podcasts ourselves (none have been published yet), and we got to thinking where the Tron Radio project's development was at.

Even if it was just a 10 minute show every month, I'd still find it really cool!abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Tron Radio isn't dead per se, but it has morphed into something else. Something that could potentially be even better. But I don't want to say any more, because I don't want to make promises on behalf of someone else.

I hope that someone will perhaps come forward and tell us some more? I'm definitely planning to contribute to what Tron Radio evolves into. And I hope that everyone else will want to help out as well.

I was thinking about something here and it was something that I remember listening to on the am dial on the radio a few years back. It was called old time radio. But instead of being old episodes of fictional characters like Sherlock holmes or murder mysteries. Make it with tron character in the tron universe. Maybe use one of us to be used in the charcter voice overs for each character.

I used to when I was younger use a tape recorder and just make up stories and put them on tape. Even with sounds effect that I had found around the house. Its amazing what you can find and use to do that.
