LOL! Heh. Now that would be fun! Now we need a Sark impersonator and all would be set.

(Altough... I have no idea why I would be Sark's polar opposite though... or what gives me the essence of polar oppositism... )

You aren't really. It just seemed like it would be funny and also something you might enjoy doing.

It didn't really die - more like got put on hold indefinitely, pending finding the time to actually produce it.

One of the problems with a project like this is that it can take a lot of time to make it reality - from prep work and planning, to recording, to post production, etc. Much time and effort needs to be invested, and we all have day jobs and other responsibilities in the real world.

Well.... I know Sheezyart managed to pull off SA radio quite easily by not having 1 DJ but having the entire community put something in to the pot. (And still have time for real world lives) So it's never really the work of one person. I think if all of us contribute one thing once (Or TronRadio was run once every two weeks with community input) I think we would have a big enough stockpile of things that can be used when it airs. That and since we have podcasts, they don't have to be live either. We can each record our piece at our own time and pace. I don't know how well we would do... but I do know with SA Radio's strategy, we might get something that'll work. Or at least that's how my theory goes. ^^;;

Well, if someone could write down a list of things which put together would last for 30 mins, then people could pick the one that they want to do until they all get done and put together.

But... what would be on the radio? Clips of Steven Lisberger talking from the DVD interspersed with Auric interviewing in a Weird Al celebrity interview manner?

I have a quite a few Tron inspired songs that can help fill in some of the gaps. And if anyone can do (And keep for long periods of time) a decent Sark impression, I can do an email column every so often.

Hey! Bart Simpson is voiced by a woman! So give it a shot and send me the comparison clips and I'll have a listen. ^^

He is?

I probably can't do that(since my computer has little sound-recordingness), but mayhap...

EDIT: I have recorded some Sarkness, listened to it, and determined that a more suitable voice actor needs to be found. I apologize. But if there's anything else I can do for the radio poject, I will do my best.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or something. But I'm going to take this at face value and say that yes. Bart is voiced by a woman and not a guy. Then again... I've been able to pull off some male voices before myself too. But I can't do Sark at all. Requires was too much voice contortionism and struggling to be possible.

it might not be much use here, but i downloaded a vocoder yesterday and did some experimentation with it.

it's not necessarily sark or the MCP, but i can now make my voice computery/robotic-y

if anything, it sounds more akin to a datawraith, or the tron 2.0 version of a bog standard program if i play with the settings a bit

click to see what i mean
that's not my vocoded voice, by the way, that's the guy who made the vocoder... i think

Here's how I see it. Starting an AM/FM/XM/Sirius radio is out of our hands without connections. (due to high cost)

(Note: I haven't read pretty much anything before this post.)

An Internet radio that runs 24/7 is pretty much out of our hands considering we haven't enough brodcastable content. The best I can think of is a section of Tron-Sector that would run a 10-30 minute podcast involving interviews, screenings, Tron, news, Perhaps if possible, video cast, etc. running in quicktime or another media player.

What is to be required in this situation: A microphone, recording program, digital camera, audio sound recorder program, video screen recorder program (for internet based content), running time (ex: every saturday), time off, and finally a DJ. All of which are easy to acquire assuming we have a DJ.

That's about all I can offer, I would love being a DJ but I'm sure somebody has experience there.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I have an idea!!!

If anyone has played an FPS such as Call of Duty, and joined a clan, there is a program called TeamSpeak.

It allows people to log into a specific server and chat via a microphone.

Now, if the Tron-Sector admins could make a Teamspeak server, and hook up a stereo to it, then there you go!

Anyone with the server adress could log in and listen.

Once I find the Teamspeak URL i'll post it here for you.

What do you guys think?

If you grind up breath mints and sprinkle it on your food, would your breath smell good after you ate?"

I think that a TRON Radio would be a damn good idea.

Would it be only the DJ who could talk, or would it be more of a free-for-all, and we just all be good listeners and don't interrupt?

Or would we be able to 'call in' and pose questions to the DJ guy?

Still, it sounds pretty awesome.

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^

Hey everyone, as we ring in the new year . . . I thought I would dust off this thread and share an idea I have to revive TRON Radio!

I think the original plan was to have a formal radio show, done on a regular basis and with high production values, to be released as perhaps a weekly podcast.

Well, as we can see, it hasn't happened yet. And it's not likely to happen, either. At least, not with such ambitious aspirations in mind. Producing a show on a frequent, regular schedule and coming up with lots to talk about every week, would be difficult to achieve. Then take into account that not everyone has the time to dedicate to something like this on a frequent basis, and . . . it just isn't feasible.

So, here's my idea.

Instead of a formal talk show on a frequent schedule, how about an informal talk show on an irregular schedule? Basically, whenever enough time has passed that we have news to talk about, and the spare time or energy to participate. Heck, we can even have some pre-recorded segments if necessary. So that people can present something that becomes a part of the show when they have the time to do it, if they can't participate during the time a show has been scheduled.

Basically, it would start off as a very informal get-together for TRON-Sector admins and members to get together and chat. Then, as time progressed, perhaps it could become a little more "formal" with special guests and better production values (music, sound effects, etc).

I already have an idea on how to host the shows, get them listed as podcasts, etc. The infrastructure is out there, ready to be taken advantage of. All we need, is the people to participate. Even if the show is very informal to start with, let's just call it a "radio show" anyway and see where it goes from there! In fact, I think maybe it should be called "TRON-Sector Radio" so that it makes it very clear who is producing the show. It would also probably generate more interest in this site, and TRON in general!

I'm trying to get as many admins on board as I can, to help host and come up with news or topics to discuss. I'm hoping that if they see interest from the members out there in reviving this project, they will come on board. I would rather not be doing this all by myself. Auric and TheReelTodd came up with the idea in the first place, after all.

So if you're interested in seeing TRON-Sector Radio come to be, please reply to this topic and show your interest. If there's enough interest, then perhaps in a few weeks we'll have our first show?

That, just might work!

Maybe, it wouldn't just be only admins, but members could submit prerecordings on their opinions in threads. It just sounds plain cool. And if it seems cool, you can pull up windows sound recorder and speak slowly into the microphone, and then speed it up to get high squeaky voices! or not.

Qix77 Wrote:Hear is an idea that I was thinking about and isn't hard to do.

I was thinking about a year ago about recording a conversation with one of you guys per week on the phone about TRON and TRON-SECTOR. Then converting it to MP3 and then posting it online for you guys. It would be like a "know your sector friends" kinda of thing. Just a simple interview that would last about an hour or so.

But I would need to find a way to run it through my computer and record it. It would be cool to brodcast it someplace or just leave it on the site for downloads. I'd also go as so far as making a trans-scrip for those of us that can't listen in. It would be really cool to hear everyone's voices.

It was just an idea.

Haa! Yes, I see now that you had the same kind of idea, Qix. Hehe.

But I would like to see group discussions happen, not only one-on-one interviews. I'd like to try and approximate a radio show kind of feel, even if the early episodes don't quite meet the mark.

Even if only one episode gets made, that's still better than none. But I would like to see a show that gets made on a semi-regular schedule. Say, one episode a month?

Mr. Sinistar, yeah I have been wondering about what music or sound effects to use, if any. An original song as part of the show would be very cool.
