Just for your info MAC OS was developed from debian and still identifies itself as such if you boot in verbose mode.

I looked through the system log and grep'ed all the strings in the kernel and I don't see that. Are you sure debian is involved? Mac OS X is based on a modified BSD.

The system from the command line down is opensourced as Darwin and comes with twm. GNU-Darwin comes with WindowMaker, Enlightenment, Xfce and GNOME.

Anyhoo, how 'bout those wikis?

Sorry for always double posting here Tronfaq. but we all must thank Auric for banning him as well as the admins on tron-sector for trying to make sure that he behaved himself here. I know you can only do so much. But at that point you had to do what you had to do over there. And we appreciate it as well.

No problem I deal on a daily basis with tehcnical support of hardware and software along with computer programming. So some placs I am very familiar with on certain machines including those running from Silicon graphics, Sum Microsystems, and like th nextsation. I haven't had a chance to use Appl with OSZ on it. Now that I know that anything resembling a "me too" post will get a response, I'll only chime in if I have anything truly new to contribute. Back to lurking.
