The ending didn't have much of a story to it though besides being "tunneled" into the system. Kinda disappointed on that. Oh well.
I hope for the end of line code we get one of those Flynn Lives pins from the event. Those were so cool. I'd love to have that opening night.

Interesting thought, but maybe, we didn't send Tron to the system, according to the tie-in media, Tron was already in the system (inserted by Kevin of course). I think in a way, that WE were the ones who sent Alan the Page from Kevin's arcaid. After the meldown sequence, after seeing CLU, we get a pop up that shows us a pager, Kevin's arcade number.
Or, in a theoretical idea, because of use sending out the pulse, CLU used it to contact Alan, which prompted Alan (not aware of how the Page happened, or who sent it) to tell Sam about it which sends Sam onto his journey to find his father at the arcade.
Just my thought on that as well.

I think this is it. In the preview footage when Sam meets Kevin, he tells him that Alan got his page, to which Kevin responds "a page?" So I think it was meant to show that perhaps WE were the ones that got the message through. Or maybe that line will be explained in some other way in the movie. Who knows. It's a fun idea though.

Remember in the trailer when you get a glimpse of some system stats as Sam wipes the dust off the screen, and it was noted that it says 8 and a bit days of uptime? Well, the pulse was about 8 days before the movie.

I don't know if I should go to the Monday night showing. It'll be at a pretty bad theater here, and I don't know that I need my first Tron viewing experience to be in an auditorium with non-theater style seats, poor audio, and a theater that generally gets bad reviews. Do i just wait a few more days for it's actual release date where I plan to see it at the IMAX, so my first viewing experience isn't ruined by the bad theater?
Ugh. I wonder why they went with such a mediocre theater here for this. I'd be totally there.
Normally the decision would be an easy one to make. On one hand, I've waited so long for this, I need to continue my die-hard Tron geekdom and see it early. On the other hand, I've waited so long that what is 3 or 4 more days of waiting if that wait will result in the ultimate viewing experience.

T:L is playing down the street from me tomorrow night at a regular 3D theatre... but I'm going to wait til Thursday night to see it in IMAX - properly.
Its gonna kill me tomorrow night to know I'm missing it, but IMAX is the only way to see it for the first time.

Don't know when I'm seeing it yet. Can't order tickets online for my theater for some lame reason, and it's a 45 minute drive out there. Seems really stupid to have to do that just for tix.

As far as i'm concerned...
If you're really a TRON fan you'd go see TL in the most fucked situations.
I personally have waited long enough. Yes, i've already secured a
ticket for the midnight opening at the El Capitan on Thursday. But it was recent
these free screenings were announced. I'm still gonna attend the Burbank
screening and hopefully on Weds at the Rave Howard Hughes
Theatre ( which is a true IMAX 3D location with a Q&A session ).
I've got no time to be pessimistic over a FREE film screening .
I'd say take advantage of the situation, Traahn

The nearest showing to me tonight is too far away, but very close to my where my son is, so I sent him there. He was first in line and texted me that they were giving out some 'cool Flynn Lives pins that look like arcade tokens'. He is going to try and get one for me.
