I loved Black Hole as a kid. I haven't seen it in years. It was one of the first VCR video rentals that I remember as a kid. I'll have to see if I can find this again.
A remake sounds cool but I usually have problems with remakes (but I did love Star Trek). abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion |

Wow, I'm surprized they decided to make a remake.
With all that bad rap critics gave the movie...and the competition..
I always liked the robots in that movie (especially that red evil one). Yeah...I know the good robots(vincent and that other one) look kinda cartoony and you can see the wires, and the ending was kind of confusing.
It's still a pretty good mystery-sci-fi movie.
I'm cold and calculating. Don't press my buttons.

Might just have the potential to be a kick ass movie, and I usually don't care much for remakes at all.

I think we'll have a better idea as to how this might be once Clash Of The Titans comes out, as it's the scriptwriter from that working on this with Kosinski and Bailey. I wonder what this means for Kosinski's other project, though, that graphic novel he had worked on and wanted to make into a film. Guess Logan's Run is definitely out of the picture too.
EDIT: Just re-read the article, guess Kosinski's not slated to direct unless he can find the time as he'll be busy with his graphic novel to film project "Oblivion" and "further possible Tron sequels."order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Thanks Techfalcon, yeah I haven't seen that movie in a very long time. Seems like it would be a good movie to see reimagined with modern knowledge. Great to see there are possible sequels to Tron Legacy also, I really hope so. |

A Black Hole remake? Really? I'm surprised Disney is interested in making one.
Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed The Black Hole, it's one of my favorite Disney films. But I just can't see the reason for making another Black Hole film. If some quarters consider TRON to not have been very popular or successful (which I strongly disagree with, but that's what some think), Black Hole was even less so.
Also, TRON really demanded some kind of follow-up. It was easy to come up with a story for a sequel, and thank god they didn't go the route of a remake.
But The Black Hole? It's pretty much impossible to make a sequel out of that. They went through the Black Hole, and the story ended there. There wasn't much more you could do with it at that point, to make it interesting. So it has to be a remake. But again, why? I just don't see the call for it.
Hey, if Disney wants to do it then I'm not really complaining. It will be interesting to see what they come up with. I'm just not understanding why they would want to. I mean, fandom already had to twist their arm to get the TRON sequel made.

"Further possible Tron sequels"?
I remember reading a while back that someone (I think maybe the producer?) said that he could see Tron Legacy being a trilogy. Was "Further possible Tron sequels" said by Kosinski himself, or was that something the article stated?
Back on topic, I never saw "The Black Hole", but it's on that continuously growing list of movies I want to see.
Seems like Disney is into reviving a lot of its old franchises lately, with TRON and this, and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit being the main antagonist in that Epic Mickey game.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Disney if you are listening... DO A PREQUEL!!
There is alot of back story material to work with regarding the original mission and crew of the Cygnus, with the mutiny and revolt against Reinhardt. It would be the only way to bring Max back, and could have incredible action with the crew battling the sentry robots. abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

After hearing this news, I decided to watch The Black Hole for the first time. Not bad, not bad. A little slow to start, but I got into it when they started talking more 25 minutes into it. If I had seen it as a kid, I probably would've liked it more, for nostalgic reasons. After watching it, I wonder if my inability to 'really get into it' is similar to how kids today don't and can't really get into the old Tron movie; because of how it seems dated. I couldn't help but notice (and be slightly bothered by) the antiquated-looking Vincent and Bob robots.
Alan1, that's a good idea. Not bad! However... (don't read the spoiler unless you've already seen The Black Hole):
SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read:
Unfortunately, unless they also went into the blackhole in that prequel, it seems the movie 'might' be a little anti-climactic -- for a movie titled, "The Black Hole"

I probably watched The Black Hole as a kid just as much as I watched TRON. I liked TRON more though for various reasons but I am glad that they will be doing this. It's also heartening to hear that they will stick more to scientific fact this time around - I always wondered why they made it so that people could breathe just fine in space or not explode. That and we all know that black holes aren't whirlpools so it should be interesting to see what they do with it instead.
I just want some decent sci-fi to come along in theaters, there is so little out there that is worth paying for. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Interesting, I hadn't heard those rumors. But that's cool. I had also wondered about those things.
I hope they spend more time going into and exploring inside the blackhole this time, rather than the drama and story build-up unfolding on the spaceship

Say what? You can't 'go into' a black hole.
Anything moving beyond the event horizon distorts from the gravity which increases exponentially every second toward the center.
Eventually anything pulled in is torn apart and super heated by the gravity causing it to explode in a burst of gamma radiation.
Anyway this is a movie that sorely needs a remake.
I tried watching it with my child a few years back and it was pretty lame.
I loved it as a kid, lasers, robots, black holes, 'meteors' oh yeah! But it is horribly dated now.

Yes, that is a great idea. The best thing about the original is the mystery behind that whole story. When they were exploring the ship when they first boarded, the desolate expansiveness was really high on the creepy factor for me. I would love to understand more about what happened there.

I always thought the movie was close to being categorized as a horror type movie.
Remember that one scene near the end in the room where the workers are turned into robots? That was creepy.

In movies you can go into them. Didn't they go into the black hole in the movie we're talking about? Or maybe I didn't watch too well. Regardless, movie magic can do whatever we want.
Either way, how is there a burst of gamma radiation eminating from within the black hole (beyond the event horizon) if nothing can escape a black hole? Is it actually happening on the event horizon, but people mistake it as being from within the black hole? Are anti-particles being annihilated at the event horizon causing this gamma display? order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Actually that may not be entirely true, you're correct that people and ordinary objects would be destroyed, however there is evidence with pictures showing something like 7 glowing objects(blue in the picture I saw), thought to be iron in a generally fixed position right infront of what was reported to be a black hole a few years back. I'd have to dig up the info, but you can find it on google pretty easily.

I'm Psychic I knew this would happen. I just hope they upgrade the ship, and keep the robots mostly the same.

Upgrade the ship?! I hope you are talking about the Palomino. The Cygnuss is one of the most beautiful ships ever created!
