Ha hah ha! Yea, I was laughing at that pack-out a little too. We all decided if it didn't make perfect sense, it was at LEAST amusing. So yea, that is Sam basejumping...not jumping into the game as the packout implies. Probably should have swapped their positions, or flipped Sam to jump away from the Tron machine. Also, at the time, no one knew Sam fell backwards off the Encom building. Oh well.

Whatever the reason, that set is one of my favorite things and I shall be leaving them in the package in that amusing pose.

I've been lurking reading this particular thread for a few days - want to share my views on the toys

So far I've bought 2 Tron Legacy figures - Black Guard and Rinzler (which I JUST bought today at TRU for $6.74!). I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the Black Guard - especially after I went to the Tron Pop-Up Store's Paint Your Own Lightcycle Event and came away with THREE Flynn's lightcycles - and I discovered that the Black Guard won't fit.

Also I thought the articulation was woefully inadequate on the BG.

Rinzler I'm much happier with, and he does fit in the cycle.

I haven't seen any series 2 figures here in Los Angeles yet - though the Royal/T Tron PU Store did have the one-man Light Jet. FYI that figure that comes with it is not articulated, just like the one that comes with the deluxe light-cycle. I'm not a fan of unarticulated figures in vehicles, but I like that you can remove them and put in regular figures.

I'm looking forward to series 3 figures too - I'm really hoping for unmasked Quorra's and Sams.

Hey Wheat, I read on another site that the Quorra figure comes with the helmet on because Olivia Wilde didn't sign off on her likeness, is that true? If so, is that issue resolved so we might get a figure without the helmet in a future wave?abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Oh man, if that's true its terrible. She'll forever have a helmet on in any and every wave. I hope they resolved this by now. Also, how did someone find that curious Sam and Tron arcade figure set if it isn't released yet? Where did they find it? Where are the figures showing up now? I mean state wise, not store wise.

I wouldn't worry too much yet. I saw a site a while back that published a "news" story about the Quorra figure not having her likeness and then they went on to SPECULATE that she hadn't signed away the rights. Either BTU was looking at that same article or another site picked up the idea.

I have a hard time believing Olivia Wilde is that far along in her career to get that sort of out in her contract. Usually when a movie like this comes along they lock down this stuff so they can make the widest amount of merch possible. If you hadn't seen her face in a million other kinds of merch I might believe it... as it stands... I think it's just idle speculation.

We know that Jeff Bridges is fine with his likeness being used and Clu still had his helmet on. My guess is either SpinMaster don't want to use the likenesses or they are coming up in a future wave.

I'd love a three-pack with Quorra, Sam and Clu without helmets. The Jarvis figure (which looks very good) makes me think the weird paint jobs on Kevin and some of the Sam figures really made the sculpts look bad and the actual likenesses could work out well. I'm very happy with the Kevin figure I repainted. I think the basic sculpt looks quite a bit like Kevin Flynn when properly painted.

I picked up the 12 inch CLU at our target here in Nebraska.

He has the same weapons that 12" Sam Flynn has but with the appropriate
color changes.

I have both 12" figures and technically they are awesome. The disk and rod are very well
done but the nunchucks and the battle-staffs both come with confuse me a bit.

I believe the Black Guards used them in the End of Line club just as Derezzed starts playing and they attack.

There's an upside for the creation of the ID discs: potential fan film props. And since there are two versions of the Disc so far, full on plastic and one foam version, that leads to the possibility of fan film makers to create their own fan films. They could use the full on plastic discs as not just props to be handled by their actors, but can also use old-school green screen effects for shots of the Disc flying.

And for the foam version, they can be used to be thrown and caught, and basically be used as a "stunt version" of the Disc (basically, a stunt version of a prop is something designed to mimic the "hero" version of a prop. Normally a stunt version is used during a stunt to make sure that those doing stunts don't hurt themselves if they accidentally fall on it. Other times, stunt versions are often designed as "break away" props, normally designed to easily break apart, i.e. a chair smashed against another person in a bar fight). The foam version of the Disc can be used for a safe "stunt" version.

However, the toy vehicles like the Recognizer, combined with green screen, can help in having Recognizers flying around without the need of having to know how to create and render 3-D models.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Pics posted of Rinzler Disc found at Target - they're on Page 43.
I'm sure more will turn up at Target as we near New Years - keep in mind that they restock daily and if you ask using the codes from BlueTronWarrior at the custom service desk - they will pull what ever shipping boxes they have in the back.
We may not be seeing them as the deluxe discs maybe seen as the same item to store clerks despite the difference we all know of.

Good hunting - hoping to find Kevin Flynn's next.

I had to stay away from the forums until I had a chance to see the movie. Finally saw it today in 3D+DBOX! (Totally loved it.)

Then I went to Target for other shopping and squeeled when I found a Quorra and Jarvus -- I had been gone for so long that I didn't know any news. I really want Jem (with umbrella), Castor, and unmasked versions of Quorra, Clu, and Sam.

*spoiler alert?*
When series 1 first came out, I bought about two dozen Sentries. I really didn't know there would be a scene with hundreds of them at once. I actually thought I would be able to do a diorama that outnumbered Sentries on screen before seeing the movie.

That mini Tron arcade machine is sweet. I need two of those. Maybe a third kept in the box. That is hilarious: "It ate my quarter!"
