Soooo here in south Dallas I checked out the Toys R Us and they had some series 1 stuff. Took a pounding, but they still have the Recognizer play set, light up disc, throwing disc, all the series one diecast toys, and some core figures.

Question, do figures fit in the recognizer in the place of the ships? I thought a figure carrier would be cool instead of a vehicle carrier.

Wal-Mart in South Dallas (one of) was completely sold out of TRON toys. They said they had them but sold out prior to Christmas.

Target (I-20 and Hampton) has Series 2 items. I was able to pick up the one man light jet toy, and the diecast one and three man jets. Man those are some cool ship designs.
They have other one man jet toys remaining, the batton for the light cycles, a LOT of the Flynn light cycles, one deluxe figure (the guard with the dragonfly wings), and mainly guard core figures with one Sam Flynn.

Prior to Christmas I was able to get a Ultimate Clu figure at Target.

Tron sales aren't doing too well. I have seen some toys that are rare elsewhere, but pretty common at the target near my home.

I live in Whittier, CA and the target on Imperial and the Target on Whittier Blvd have a good stock of toys.

Yeh second time around I got a better respect for Rinzler though honestly I just want to see more straight up TRON stuff.

Speaking of Rinzler and TRON, I was watching the behind the scenes stuff for TRON and saw that the earliest animation of TRON (that was sold as radio ads and such) did throw TWO discs.

So TRON/Rinzler is now more true to form.

Yeah, maybe there was a production or shipment delay. It's weird that some showed up on the west coast in Targets and at the Tron pop-up shop though.

So aside from Ultimate Clu, and the TRON arcade machine figure, what are some other rare TRON toys currently?

Technically, the stores were supposed to wait till the "reset" in January to put out the new TRON toys. But, as I have seen year after year after year, stores selling out of toys the days before Christmas put out everything they have in the back, including the things that were meant to be "held back" for later.

Target is especially common in doing this, and therefore most sightings of Wave Two stuff are from there. im at manila, philippines for the holidays and toys r us here is actually overflowing with 12 inch CLUs! i know i promised myself that id only spend my money on discs, but all the tiny and big figures plus the diecasts are tempting me >.< just sad that the one thing im looking for isnt here yet, i was hoping since the rinzler and kevin discs are out at singapore theyd hit here early too. oh well. but i do already have 2 sam deluxe discs that had to be flown in. one to keep and one to sell in like, 10 years from now! hahaha. would you guys think that's a nice investment?

Yep, it was target. I'm in Central Illinois, btw, in case anyone was tracking the spread of these toys.

I returned my Light Jet today... and the new one STILL had a scratch on the top near where the figure connects. Maybe it's impossible to find a good one. There was also a ton of slop all over the wings. It looked like there was dried glue smeared on them. There were orange paint flecks all over and an orange smear of paint on the part where the intake should be. Pretty disappointing, but I've got some gloss black acrylic model paint. I think I'm just going to give everything a once-over with it and it should look good then.

I don't think it was too dire for the kids buying it - just picky collectors.
