Thanks everyone for buying up all the 3 man lightjets (not!). Can someone at least give me goddam TRU code so I can get one. TRU people are useless, been passed around 6-10 people on the phone then hung up on.

Not to laugh *at* you, but I find this incredibly amazing, since I am tripping over these at the TRU stores in my area. Most have 3-4 per store and I've come across at least 3 TRU's stores in my area, all of which have these.

I hope this means that we'll get the Sirens in wave 3... |
What's interesting about this quote is that Steve Lisberger said the same thing about himself in a recent interview ("they made an action figure of my character"), but I sincerely doubt Spinmaster has plans to make a 'Bartender at End of Line Club' action figure, do you? Not saying that I wouldn't jump at the chance to purchase such a figure (for the novelty if nothing else), but logic, armchair marketing sense, and the reality of action figure/toy sales tell me that we most likely won't see a Siren any more then we'll see 'bartender guy'.

I think we'll see a Siren. At least Gem. But these other reports sound more like SPinmaster making novelty items for the actors, like the 12" Sam for Garret.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Often what happens on big budget films is that they offer gifts to the cast and crew once production is wrapped. It used to be popular to give the cast and crew jackets with the production name and any credit mentions, but as of late production gifts are getting away from the staid clothing of days gone by and offering other items. This is probably where the action figures come in. Since most of the actors in the movie were scanned into digital form so that their costumes could be made as form fitting to them as possible, it is likely that Disney either contracted Spinmaster to make these figures or some other CNC production shop.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Yeah, but it's hard when you have douche bags like this:-

Buying up all the toys in your area (he has 5!) and selling them for extortionate prices. Plus none of the stores will admit to having the the item.

Well, stopped by a Target we haven't been to since around Christmas time. Found that they had some series 2 diecasts and a couple Rinzlers discs. The rest was pretty much Series 1. A couple disconcerting things we noticed:
a) the diecasts that should have orange trim look different on the Series 2 versions. The Series 2 have like a puke-pinkish-orange paint, as compared to Series 1! It's so fugly, I couldn't bring myself to buy them, and count myself lucky for picking up the Series 1 of all the diecasts! Not sure what's going on at SpinMaster, but wo...someone is mixing up some seriously wrong colors!
b) more toy weirdness with sounds and lights. This time, it's the Deluxe lightcycles. My boy happened to push the 'test' button just for kicks and giggles. OMG! The same thing that we noticed with the discs is now happening to the lightcycles! All the sounds/lights are performing at about a THIRD of the speed of all the others we have bought! And again, this is at Target! Man, I wish I knew what was going on with this...because the slowed down sound and lights REALLY SUCK! We bought 2 of the cycles just to have what apparently is another 'variant'. They will stay: sealed
We'll be testing out the TRU stuff this weekend to see if their cycles perform uber slow, too. We've already tested the discs at TRU, and they perform normally. Crazy.

That's what I told my boy at first. Then I pulled a tab on a new one...and it sounded the same. All the ones on the shelf did. We tested about 10. Same thing happens with the Target discs. They all sound and look like they're moving at about 1/3 normal speed.
We haven't tested the cycles at other Targets yet, but we have tested the discs. 3 different Targets. All 'slow' sounding discs. Completely different sound from what we originally purchased, and the kids are currently using.

Someone should post this thread on Rose O'Donnel, because this dang thing is WIDE!
Please, people, I beg you, Use a Bit.ly URL. it shortens URLs considerably, and we avoid wide forum pages
Along with the discussion, I have passed by many CLU light cycles, not knowing it was an exclusive at Wal-Mart, but even then, I may not even buy one.
The toy isn't modeled after the one as in the movie.
CLU's light cycle had two horizontal headlights in the movie, the ones on the toy are vertical, so I will not be purchasing it

It's true that the headlight detail isn't like the movies (I would have never caught that myself) but the actual toy is really well done. The mold is different than the Sam cycle, and the helmet has the correct Clu detail. The airbrakes are different too.
I can understand wanting it movie-perfect but the actual toy is probably my favorite vehicle so far (haven't found the 3 man light jet either on the east coast, perhaps they are getting caught up in the blizzard.)

YES! That shows the difference very well. Except now the regular Sams Deluxe ID performs like the one on the right now, too. All the ones at all 3 Targets near me performed like your Rinzler in that vid. Thanks for reposting that. I missed it somehow.
To my dismay, the same thing is now true with the lightcycles. They are all SLOW at Target now. Like I said, haven't checked TRU yet (hope to do that this weekend).
I'm East Coast, and I think that the bad weather may be a factor like DevRevenge said in not seeing the 3-man lightjets (and probably other stuff) out here. Just taking them longer to make it out here. Guessing, though.
As far as a WIDE page...I'm not seeing it. I'm using Firefox, and I have a healthy amount of 'empty space' on the left and right of the thread (like about 3" on each side!). I'll check into that other link site. Never used it before. Thanks for the tip.

hurmmm yeah that is really odd. so the lightcycles are the same slowish speed? wonder if that too is caused by some sorta cost reduction on spin master's end. i guess the cycle one going slower wouldn't bother me as much since i cut the speaker on mine.
thanks for the vid illustrating the discs tho haha

Edit: ^^^^^^ Two what at your walmart? Two deluxe discs? Two 3 man light jets? It would be big news to see a 3 man light jet in walmart in my estimation.
Looks like I've been hit by the QC bug
I bought a Clu bike and opened it thinking the batteries had just run down. Well, after I replaced the batteries I found out I was right. The bike seemed to work just fine.
But less than a week later and I tried to activate the bike, and the (newer) batteries are dead. Gonna give it a shot with another set of batteries just to confirm, otherwise this one might be headed back to the store.
Do stores even take back open toys? I still have all my applicable receipts and it should be well within the return window. Guess I'll find out :/where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

When my CLU head snapped off, I took it back and they exchanged it. That was Fred Meyer, though... smaller chain, so they're not quite the sticklers for procedure some of the larger chains are. There's a massive amount of information just in this thread, alone.
It's extremely hard to find information on this website, since the search feature sucketh (IMO). The more that the new people get involved in the discussion, the less repeat questions are asked. If you don't like alot of new peeps, I'm not sure what anyone can do to make you happy... O.o
Considering you're at around 103 posts yourself, I'd say that you're still newish here. On other forums I frequent, ppl have thousands of posts. So...yeah. Gotta take the good with the bad and roll with it. Not trying to pick a fight. Just sayin' |

considerate? I am. I'm simply stating to look through the pages manually like the majority of us do.
