Daft Tron Wrote:Stygian Wrote:flamanar Wrote:That's pretty harsh. Considering this thread is past 78 pages now, how would someone know to just 'look back a few pages'??? LOL I'm probably one of the only people who have read this entire thread from page 1. And that took me like forever, and I've probably forgotten about 25% of what I've read already. There's a massive amount of information just in this thread, alone.
It's extremely hard to find information on this website, since the search feature sucketh (IMO). The more that the new people get involved in the discussion, the less repeat questions are asked. If you don't like alot of new peeps, I'm not sure what anyone can do to make you happy... O.o
Considering you're at around 103 posts yourself, I'd say that you're still newish here. On other forums I frequent, ppl have thousands of posts. So...yeah. Gotta take the good with the bad and roll with it. Not trying to pick a fight. Just sayin' |
Yeah Daft Tron. Try to be a little bit more considerate to us "newbies" next time.
|
considerate? I am. I'm simply stating to look through the pages manually like the majority of us do. Sure i understand that it's possible the search function may not be working however that is a problem with the search engine itself; that is beyond me. On another note, despite the number of posts I have I've been registered here for quite some time. I'll just leave it at that. |
Ok. I'll buy that. However, I'm betting the forum is different now, as opposed to when you joined up. Legacy came out, and so did the toys. And now, so did the newbies. Just be ready for the next 'newbie' who can't use the search function (because it sucks), or doesn't look back a few pages (or 50 pages). There's gonna be more. And there's not a thing you can do about it, and complaining here doesn't achieve anything. Again...not fighting...just pointing out a fact of life. And I...shall leave it at that.
Back on topic...again...our early Deluxe discs all were 'fast'. Now hearing the 'slow' ones, they sound 'abnormal', or 'sluggish'. Like the batteries are dying. Same with the lightcycles. Seriously bummed that we didn't buy more of the 'original' toys. There is a chance though that TRU might be carrying a different 'batch' of Tron toys than Target. No idea how SpinMaster distributes their product. If we don't get hit with more snotty weather, I'll be making a trip to a much farther TRU (also much bigger and nicer than my crappy local one) to test their discs and cycles. If they all run 'fast'....then it has something to do with the 'batches' that SM is sending out to Target and TRU. Either that, or Target is cycling through its inventory MUCH faster than TRU, and the new shipments of Tron cycles and discs have something different in the electronics. This really shouldn't be this complicated :/

I dont know if this has been asked yet but does anyone have the dpci/sku number for the clu lightcycle? I think it would help in a search for one without having to waste a ton of gas.

As far as I can tell, Walmart uses the UPC code, at least that's what's listed on my receipt.
The UPC code for the Clu Light Cycle is 077898887733
Good luck! I'll be hitting up some local Walmarts this weekend to see if the ones that still had some have clearanced out their cycles yet.

Hold down the button for a long time, about 10 seconds, and it 'revs up.' Then it pulses and makes noise and stuff. Kinda cool. But much longer than 10 seconds.

So while I'm a Tron fan, I work 9-12 hour days. I pass a Target on the way home, and had gotten all my "gear" from there. But after not finding the 3-man light jet on several occasions, I gave up and hit a brand new Toys 'R Us / Babies 'R Us up in Tukwila.
After walking through the aisles (which are totally different than ANY other Toys 'R Us I'd been in), and finding action figures, but no Tron stuff... I thought for sure I wasn't going to find a thing. But along the main "back" aisle... there they were. Figures (all series 1), 3-Man light jets, the race or die track, several light bikes, scooters, and the disc battle game (hadn't seen the scooters or disc battle game at Target). Took a good look at the light jet, and after realizing the rear guns are hidden until you set them up... decided to go ahead and buy it. I opened it this morning, and I haven't fully assembled it, but it looks pretty cool. We'll see how the thing looks fully assembled.
Oh, the was one more thing I hadn't seen at my local Target. While I have a Kevin Flynn deluxe disc, and have considered but passed on the Rinzler discs thus far, I found the actual "throwing disc" at Target. For $8, I figured if it throws like a frizbee it could be fun, and opened it today. Looks kinda fun.
So now that I have two vehicles (Kevin's Lightcycle and the 3-man jet), and only TWO figures (Kevin and Quorra), I'm wondering which figures I might add. Kinda leaning toward a 2-series Rinzler, since I'm not thrilled with Sam and his bad "mask". How long do we think until Series 3 might be released? A Gem might be pretty sweet if she comes in the next series...

Pre-order sites for the wave 3 assortment suggest it will drop about the same time as the movie release, assuming it doesn't get cancelled.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Found the 3-Man Light Jet at the TRU in Champaign, Illinois today! Excited to finally find it. I think it's a fine rendition of the vehicle, but I have to agree the light up feature is pretty lame. But to be honest the rest of it is so cool I don't mind. The pop-up gun chair in the back is tons of fun!

I found out some things for people still looking for the Kevin Flynn disk in the Southern California area. I got back from Disneyland's electronica tonight and after having a delightful conversation with the store clerk I found out they now carry the white disks. The only catch is you have to ask for them. The only ones they put on shelves are the Sam and now Rinzler ones. They said they had a bunch when I asked. Passing along the news.

Well I finally bought myself some core vehicles, even managed to find a Clu Light Cycle. Sadly it wasn't on sale at this particular walmart, and even more sadly is I'm having issues with it. The lights and sound work when the button is pressed, but they don't always work when it's rolled. I'll try and try and try to get it working via rolling it to no avail, and then out of nowhere it'll start to work for a while. Has anyone encountered a similar problem with their Sam or Clu cycles? It was the only one they had left so I can't try to exchange it unless I find another walmart that has them, and there aren't really any other walmarts that are local to me.
Other than that though I'm glad I ended up investing in the core line. It's not perfect, but I really like these things despite their flaws. I grabbed a few figures a week or two ago, and found the rest (aside from Sam, who always seems to be gone) today. In terms of vehicles all I'm missing is the 3 man light jet, and I'm not sure if I'm gonna pull the trigger on that one yet. Perhaps if there's a sale on it I'll budge, but the real killer for me is the way the light up feature works.
Speaking of light up features though, I haven't been able to get Quorra to snap into the runner. I can get her seated just fine, I just can't get her disk to snap in so the light stays on longer. What's the secret? I think it's her helmet that gets in the way of me pushing it in enough.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

You're making me feel bad. I have like 3 or 4 Sams. :P But yeah, I have the same issue with both my Clu and Sam cycles. It's sporatic... sometimes it works, others, it doesn't... not that I care too much, as I find the sound obnoxious. Lights are nice, though!abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Well hearing this I'm not sure it would even be worth going through the trouble of exchanging the cycle IF I was able to find another. I was contemplating taking it apart and seeing if there might be something hampering the feature from working consistently. I agree that the sounds are kind of annoying, but the lights are great so I can deal with it. There's probably a way to cut the sound wire, but I wouldn't attempt such a thing unless I was certain I was cutting the right wire. End of line |

I stopped by a Toys R Us and a Walmart earlier. Still nothing series 2 related there. Where are all the figures and die cast vehicles from series 2 already? The only things I've found have been Kevin Flynn's deluxe disc, the single man deluxe flyer, and an ultimate Clu with a funny face stuck on it. Its WAY past time for these toys to be hitting shelves and I can only seem to find these things online. Whats going on?
How about series 3? Any confirmed news on it yet?abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Sigh. Stopped at a Walmart, TRU, 4 Targets. Surprising results.
TRU: All Series 1. No 3-man lightjets.
Walmart: Series 2 3" figures. Everything else Series 1.
Target #1: Everything Series 1. A few 1-man light jets (big kind). Rest were Series 1
Target #2: boatload of 1-man light jets (the big kind). Series 2 3" figures. Rest were Series 1 stuff.
Target #3: a couple Rinzler discs still sitting there (picked a tabbed one up...since nobody was buying them). All diecasts were Series 2. A few 1-man light jets (big kind). Usual Series 1 stuff.
Target #4: a few Rinzler discs. A few 1-man light jets (big kind). Some Series 2 diecasts. Everything else Series 1.
Seemed to me that stock at the Targets was running out. Very few full pegs. Seemed like the same stuff sitting at each store from the last time we were there. Never anything in the stockroom.
Ok: the 'slow action' Deluxe discs and Deluxe lightcycles. It seems that ALL the new ones are now exhibiting the 'slowed down' lights and sounds. EVEN TRU. So it's not limited just to Target stock. Which leads me to believe that the early stock was made differently. We have enough of the early stuff to compare...and there's no comparison. The new stuff is all slow. Weird...and seriously disappointing. They all sound like the batteries are almost dead. Even ones we pulled the tabs on. Blah!

Here's my guess and it may be nothing more than supposition, so please take it with a grain of salt. I think that TRU only ordered the Series 1 stuff, planned to sell through that merch completely and then 'probably' have no plans to continue the line after that. Granted, based on the popularity of Series 1 merch they may eventually get more Series 2, 3, and beyond, but I think their major selling plan really only accounted for the sale of Series 1 and a smattering of two (the 3-man light jet's for instance) before the line ran out of steam with the movie quickly disappearing into the rearview.
Toy Fair will truly be the telling thing as to what (if any) the major plan is beyond Series 2 from Spinmaster. We've heard all kinds of scuttlebutt but zero official pics have appeared online (unless you count Castor on the cardback), which is strange given the unintentional transparency so many toy companies have today- more leaks than the Titanic, in other words.

I'm glad someone else besides me thinks its strange that no pics of future figures have shown up online or in magazines like ToyFare. I've seen pre-production images of toys for a bunch of other toy lines, but nothing even as far as a rumor besides what has been heard on these very boards. In another thread, someone is saying there is no series 3 coming, so I dunno what to think. I think the toys would have sold well if they had included more characters that us fans want to see. Spin Masters seems to have dropped the ball several times with this line, but I've seen worse.
So can anyone say for sure wether or not series 3 is even going to happen at this point? Is Wheat King still here? I'd like to hear some sort of official word on this.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online "The dark can embrace the light, but never eclipse it." |

It's really not strange at all, just because some toy companies are very in touch with the public about what's coming out next doesn't mean all are following suit. I've collected plenty of toy lines where the only new news I'd get is Toy Fair or Comic Con.
