Base Jump and a panel to talk about Iso would probably get the most exposure. The light cycle would not gain enough impact unless it made several of the local news. Although I could be wrong.

Tron Lives...keeping the legacy alive (how does that sound?) Our goal would be to keep the Tron franchise in the publics minds by promoting the Blu-ray and DVD sales and to keep the idea of a Tr3n alive.
We have a name, and a few mottos (thanks Tronix!) We just need a logo (one idea I had was to combine the "T" on Tron's chest in Legacy with the "ron" fron the Tron Legacy logo and put "lives under it. Is that too complicated?) and a definite plan(what, where, and when) and then we can create a website. Then we can rally Tron fans from all over from her, Deviantart, Livejournal etc. and let the rest of the world know that Tron is here to stay.
Here's all of the ideas we have right now (feel free to add more) -What Tron means to us and the world.
- What if we got a long broken down Tron arcade game and drug it out to a sandbar (or any other random place) and put a sign on it that said "out of order until Tron 3 comes out".
-Letter writing campaign from "Tron lives" members.
-Host a panel of Scientists/Computer programers to talk about ISOs.
-Build a lightcycle a la "Appamobile" (obviously it wouldn't have a light-trail or go fast but still) and paint Tron 3 on it and ride it all over the country.
-Have someone BASE jump with either Tron 3 or Sam's 89 logo on their parachute and possibly wearing a Tron inspired jumpsuit..
-Get Tron Guy to make a legacy type suit and make videos calling for a Tron 3.
-The ultimate Tron fan CD.
-Fan trailers, Fan posters, etc.
-Have a national glow in the dark/light up clothes day.
-A universal sci-fi fandom appreciation day by teaming up with the 501st legion, Star Trek fans, Battlestar Gallactica fans, Dr. Who fans etc. and just raise awareness about things like Tron 3, Han shot first etc.
-Tr3n slogans as Facebook Statuses andTweets.
The goal is to be practical, professional and effective with what we do.

Hi all -
New to the forum, but not to TRON.
I think that there have to be many others that have seen TRON actually have an impact in their life. I was in high school when TRON came out. Looking back, I can honestly say that there was in impact in my life and career that are far beyond a movie.
I completed a degree in computer science. I have been a professional programmer for over 20 years.
There have to be other stories like this. Programmers, Artists, Dreamers, Writers, etc... that drew inspiration from TRON.
THAT is the true "Legacy" of TRON.
Could it be a message that Disney needs to hear?

Nothing is set in stone yet...we will have a more definite plan and structure once we have a website.
...We don't happen to have any jumpers on these threads so we?

So any propositions for a logo? I'd try to do one myself but my friends tablet isn't working andI'm sure that someone else out there has better ideas than me lol..

I know how much clout Tron Guy has as, you know, a guy who's a fan of Tron, and an icon in that respect, but I'm seriously thinking we should step back and reconsider bringing him on board.
I was looking through his LiveJournal entries (from recently.. he still uses LiveJournal?) while checking for contact info and there's a lot of stuff there that I'm having trouble agreeing with. I get that he'd basically be a publicity vehicle for TR3N LIV3S but the guy seems kind of... off.
I understand that people can hold whatever views they want, but the dude seems to be all over the map. He's inconsistently socially left, but economically very right, a position I don't see as philosophically or practically tenable.
