if flynn has not had any guests for a thousand cycles,
what's the spare guestroom for?

Maybe someone can post the pics of this one. When Flynn starts the tale of the Clu coup they are all eating at the table, then as the story progresses they are all in the "living" room and quorra is on the "couch".

That's a good question. Maybe when he built the safehouse, he just put it in there out of habit. Or maybe he was expecting guests when he built it, but they never showed up.

Really looks like the same intersection Sam ran into the Recognizer, the street, buildings and all. Could the other portal been something Flynn built for some other reason? It seems he was going back to the arcade, and someone said it sounded like Tron was urging him to hurry since this was part of the scene from Betrayal.

Like I said, one was the 'back door' for emergencies which was Flynn's Arcade in the Grid while the main portal was where he came in and out by the usual manner. I'll bet Clu does NOT know about the 'back door' but he did shut down the main portal, UNLESS the one we saw in the end of Legacy was actually the MAIN portal he's used over the years prior to the 1989 disappearance.
