I would assume she climbed up there. Tron Evolution showed her performing the same acrobatic moves as Anon.

i just realized something

by not admitting during tron1 that he was digitized
flynn in effect witheld an important discovery from Lora
(the first successful human digitization)

from the events in tron legacy it appears that the
laser was mothballed and then co-opted by flynn

i wonder how allan will react once he finds out that
flynn allowed the laser to be mothballed so that flynn
could pursue his own research into the grid.

it's tantamount to flynn stealing Lora's work.

Well, we don't actually know if Flynn told Alan and Lora about his experience or not. It's never said. In Tron Betrayal, we learn that Lora moved to somewhere in Washington - which explains why she isn't in Legacy - but for all we know, during Legacy, she could have been working on the laser there.

if flynn had told allan or either lora about
the success of human digitization - then events
would unfold differently.

lora would insist on following up on her life's work
the laser research.

allan and lora would be helping flynn instead of
flynn playing the hermit scientist in his basement.

the events of tron legacy seem to indicate that allan had
no idea about the grid.

the events of tron legacy seem to indicate that nobody
else (not even lora) has discovered the grid in the 20 years
flynn has been missing.

I'm not sure. In the original Tron, they were digitizing fruit. And they didn't even bring the orange BACK. Obviously they were light-years away from even trying it on ANY living thing, let alone a human being. And that may have NEVER been their intent to begin with... it may have been deemed unsafe to send a person. So it's not like they were on the verge of digitizing humans and he kept it back. There's no way they were going to try sending people next week after he told them, y'know? If they'd had any desire to in the first place.

Was the project mothballed? We don't know. The laser he had may well have been a model discarded for a new model. Or perhaps it was given up because they didn't think it had a practical application after all-- again, they may have only been thinking of doing inanimate objects, and if they decided perhaps it wouldn't have the economic benefits they'd originally thought, they'd give up on it. Or the company may have gone in a new direction and the project was given up. Or they had budget issues and the laser program was cut. Or Gibbs retired/Lora left and nobody else wanted to continue it. Or maybe they did give it up because indeed they were afraid people would start being digitized and they didn't like the implications of that. Maybe Flynn started his own research because nobody else would continue it, rather than your assumption that nobody else continued it because he wouldn't allow it so he could do it himself.

If the project was ended, I wouldn't say it was necessarily Flynn's fault.

I agree that Alan et al probably did not know. If he did, when Flynn disappeared he would've probably put two and two together and figured out it was possible that that's where Flynn was. And then why would he not SAY something or try to figure it out himself? The implication of him knowing where Flynn could be and doing nothing might be that there's something malicious about Alan, which I don't really want to believe.*

I suppose you could say he did snoop around and simply didn't find the basement office or any evidence Flynn was digitizing, so figured there was nothing he could do (after all, you can't go to the police and say "I know where he is! He's in the computer!" without getting tossed in the looney bin). It would explain his actions with Sam-- when Sam says "you act like I'm just going to find him in his office" and Alan says "wouldn't that be something" (that line always bugged me because it sounded like it was implying SOMETHING important... because what you'd expect him to reply is something like "oh, Sam, that's not what I meant" or "Sam, calm down" but instead he comes out with some enigmatic line spoken in an enigmatic voice that sounds like he KNOWS something)-- or making a bid to get Sam to go to the arcade to check it out.

But I don't see why Alan would suspect Flynn's in there, find no proof at the arcade, and simply say "meh, whatever" and give up and let it go for 20 years. Nor why he wouldn't go to the arcade WITH Sam to check it out if he thought the page meant something. Nor why he wouldn't tell Sam what he suspected-- even if he didn't know Flynn told Sam all about it when Sam was a kid, you'd think he'd at least try to get the idea across rather than sending Sam in there blind hoping he'd stumble across something (which he must have seen as highly unlikely if he himself actively searched and found nothing). I suppose you could argue that he DID spend all that time searching and we just don't hear about it in the movie, but that seems like a big thing to leave out even if your intent is to keep it secret so you can address it in a later film.

*I had thought of writing a fanfic where Alan really IS a bad guy-- could be working in cahoots with Clu even. Flynn disappears, and Alan, who's tired of always playing second fiddle, is relieved that Flynn's out of his way and he can do what he wants with Encom and such. He knows the page is from Clu so sends Sam in to get him out of the way too. But I think that'd be hard to sell, and who wants Alan to be evil anyway?

And you're right about Quorra. I don't know why I had thought she was just high up on a cliff in the Outlands near the arena. Hell, I watched it TWICE and I still thought that.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

this is what i got from the draft tron 1 script
http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/TRON.html
The laser shoots a bolt of blindingly bright LIGHT at the polymer
sphere. For a moment, the sphere has the look of a wavering, poorly
received television picture -- wobbling lines of dots -- and then
it disappears entirely. As Gibbs watches, a Lora works feverishly,
the laser pivots to point at the platform a few feet away. A second
discharge of LIGHT hits the surface of this platform, and -- like a
film-in-reverse of the ball's disappearance -- it is reconstructed,
five feet from its original position.
When the beam shuts off, Lora
rushes to join Gibbs in examining the born-again ball of plastic.

GIBBS
(quietly)
Perfect.

At the SOUND O.S. of an appreciative pair of hands clapping, Lora
and a Gibbs turn to SEE Alan, in hard hat, goggles, and paper
shoe-covers, walking toward them.

ALAN
Beautiful!

GIBBS
Hello, Alan.

ALAN
Boy, I sit up there grindin' away
all day, and you guys are down here
disintegrating things and having fun.

He gives Lora an embrace and a quick kiss.

GIBBS
Not disintegrating, Alan -- digitizing.
While the laser is dismantling the
molecular structure of the object,
the computer maps out a holographic
model of it. The molecules themselves
are suspended in the laser beam. Then
the computer reads the model back out,
the molecules go back into place, and...
(indicates ball)
voila.

75 CONTINUED 75

ALAN
Great. Can it send me to Hawaii?

GIBBS
Yes...but you have to go roundtrip,
and you must purchase your program
at least 30 days in advance. Hah!

The three start walking out of the laser lab, Alan and Lora with
their arms around each other's shoulders.
the laser was intended as a teleportation device

if we agree that nobody knows about flynn's laser and the grid-
that can only mean flynn never told anyone about his experience,
not even Lora.

that can only mean flynn witheld important information from Lora.
Lora never had a chance to examine the algorithm for digitizing
humans that was developed by the MCP.

if may not be necessarily Flynn's fault that the laser project ended
but he had the power to kickstart renewed research into it
by making Lora aware that human digitization
has been successfully achieved.

a power he did not exercise for his friend Lora.

i guess i'm saying that flynn could have done more to ensure continued research
but it appears that he has chosen not to do more

what's really interesting to me is
how flynn rationalized decieving Lora.
the reason behind the deception.

it has to be good because allan is going to be pissed
at the deception alone
(assuming sam tells allan about the grid and the laser)

Wait, when did they re-digitize it? I kept waiting for that part and to me it looked like they sent it inside, everybody clapped, and Lora wandered off with Alan. And I was sitting there thinking, "but you didn't even bring it BACK." Really sort of anticlimactic... for something that was that big of a deal (I sort of got the impression that that was the first time they'd done it), to say "yay we did it; well, bye."

@Kat I felt they were less than enthused myself. I mean, the multi million dollar (back then) project works, and they clap and go play video games. But yes, watch that youtube of Tron and see, the orange does re-digitize.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

the part of the gif where the orange re-appears is the
un-digitization part

unfortunately the movie does not show the orange
re-appearing at another location.

viewers only get a vague idea of teleportation from the context of what allan said
"Can it get me to Hawaii?"

Some poor program was just walking around minding his own business when an orange appeared right under his foot, causing him to slip and fall into lightcycle traffic.

Someone wrote a fanfic with Yori finding the orange, eating it and deciding it was good. Not sure where it came from. She's brave. Would you eat something strange that dropped at your feet?

the names billboard above the arena locked into position

however the reflection says "unknown vs pike" so it's either a goof
