Just watched TRON tonight, at the request of my 3 year old daughter.
Yes, a new generation of TRON fans is being created!
She loves the light cycles, both in the movie and on the game.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

PING!
Yeh watched it on my laptop tonight. That was fun.
You know what else is a trip, last year I watched the opening segment of TRON (and you can get the whole movie) and watch it on a Atari 8-bit computer. It's pretty trippy.
To get an idea of what it is like to view a movie on a 1.77 mhz machine made around the time TRON was made, check out...
http://www.mr-atari.com/docs/mra_showing_matrix.mpg
Mr. Atari in that movie (showing the first part of Matrix Reloaded) is a good friend of mine. I'll have to make a movie of the Atari 800 running TRON sometime. But yeh, that was what I watched TRON on last time I watched it.
Uhhh... let's see... I think what I like about TRON is the ambiance. The way the floor echoes for one. I think to this day I walk and find it cool when the floor echoes.
There is a certain familiar-deadliness to TRON. That make sense? The villians will actually converse with you and are even somewhat corgal up to the point of killing you, because they know you're gonna die, and the heroes are pretty cool, because they realize eventually, they are gonna die. I mean what are you gonna do?
The world of TRON is cold and bleak, yet, beautiful.
Cindy Morgan was and will always be the girl that seemed just right. A bit nerdy, kinda hot, but not too hot. Man she was cute as Lora & Yori.
Flynn I just relate with. When I was a kid I related to his video game playing & reckless ways, when I was a bit older I identified with the "only Solutions" attitude, and older still I can relate to a man who was "wronged by the man" as I work in Dilbert corportate land and deal with and sometimes win against politics. Yep, Flynn is the everyman.
Great seeing TRON in action. I always wanted more fighting scenes. But oh well.
And no matter how many times I watch TRON, Clu is always getting caught and derezzed, valiantly I might add. I keep hoping one day I'll watch it and he'll actually get away.

So I go downstairs this afternoon and the first thing my 3-1/2 year old daughter says to me is, "Daddy, can we go upstairs and watch TRON?"
Well, who is going to say no to that?
This is like our 10th screening together.

PING!
Last week I enjoyed watching Tron (but that was before I joined T-S).
And no matter how many times you see it, it never loses its charme
Guess what? My wife surprised me by ordering Tron on DVD. It came in today, so we watched it tonight again _____________________________________

Ahhh, just finished watching it with my dad. Was a good quality father/son bonding movie.
I'd hafta say my fav part is Flynn driving the recognizer. His line "Now that is a big door" cracks me up everytime.
I'd volunteer for digitization at the drop of a hat so if anyone hears about it lemme know!
When Tron was in the disc arena, my dad says to me about how much he loved playing Deadly Discs back on the Intellivision. I mentioned to him about it bein' on Xbox Live and he seemed to like that notion.

PING!
I'm watching it right now as a matter of fact!
Has anyone ever noticed that in the film, Flynns password is Reindeer Flotilla, but in Tron 2.0 it's Reindeer Tortilla? (When you enter the EN12-82 system and I-NO opens the force field)
Just curious...

A lot of people seem to think that was a mistake, but I think it was deliberate.
Monolith knew Flynn's favorite password was Reindeer Flotilla. It's the default password when you set up a server in Multiplayer. So to me, Reindeer Tortilla for the Tanks in the EN12-82 level, was a deliberate play on the original password.
I mean, who says Flynn would keep using the same password all the time? He might change it up a little. Makes perfect sense.

I arrive once more, and I say PING! This time, though, I introduced my much-younger (19) baby brother, and he was very impressed.

Ping!!!!
I've been playing the Arcade version and Tron 2.0 today.
Here are some sector memories of Tron 2.0 when it was released.. I don't know if many of you remember these but I'll search the forums someday and post links sometime about this..
1.) Earth was aligned with Mars and was brightly and clearly visible from Earth.
2.) MP Cheats were discovered.
3.) Seeing if anyone got 100% bonuses.
4.) DaveTron was QA on Tron 2.0
5.) Qix was still so awesome... even then...
ok... 4 out of 5 ain't so bad.. |

Qix what bonuses? I didn't know there were bonuses.
But of course for the first half of the game I ignored emails so I need to replay.
