Didn't the first wave come out in October of last year? Wave 2 was officially released last week, no? So it seems like about 3 months between...if there is a pattern to it. Which is approximately in line with Gambits suggesting of March as a possible release time period for Wave 3. Completely guessing, but....yeah

Series 3 has already been solicited for April in previews, which means March is definitely probable for it to appear in retail stores.
Discuss it on tron-sector.com here. |

Finally got all the Series 2 stuff with the exception of the throwable ID's and Castor.
The 3rd world Wal-Marts had the Light Jets and the Targets around here have *tons* of the Flynn and Rinzler discs as well as the Light Jet Vehicle..

Anyone know why the Grid Limo diecast is painted orange...instead of the original blue color? It shows one color in the toy lineup pic on the back of the card, but the big pic on the back and front both show it as orange.
Thanks Jon, btw, for that info about April. For some reason, seems like Targets in my area are holding stuff in the back and not putting it out until the shelves empty on the floor. So they probably have Series 2 crap in the back in boxes...and nobody sees them. Asked one person to check their stock in the back...and they said "the stuff in the back is not for sale"?? wo....
gkarris: do you have Kmarts in your area? My Kmarts all around me are overburdened with those throwable discs (just the Flynn one now). They are literally cascading off the pegs and onto shelves below. Even my local TRU has tons of them. Also: you say stores in your area have tons of the Rinzler and Flynn discs. Is that the WHITE Flynn disc?? I swear...all the stock of white deluxe discs were sent everywhere but where I live -.-

I work at Target, and I can tell you that is a lie. If you ask for it, and they have it, they have the ability to bring it out from the back. Not only do they have the ability, but they're pretty much required to assist the customer in any way possible. Whoever told you that is full of it.

That's better than that answer I got last week. I scanned a Rinzler disc and saw it listed more in the back (I was looking for Kevin's disc and another Rinzler). I asked the person to go in the back to see if the extras were series 2 discs. She had to look it up on her handheld first, confirmed more were in the storeroom, then she proceeded to tell me that store's storeroom was "offsite", despite this being one of the larger Target's. If you're storeroom is offsite, it's not a storeroom, it's a warehouse. Having worked in entry level retail before, I know it's a horrible position, but I also know it takes the least amount of intelligence and is the least stressful of pretty much any work. If it's too much for you to walk your ass back to the storeroom (or what some Target's actually do, radio the storeroom workers to bring them out so the floor folks don't have to lift a finger), you need to rethink how much you actually need your cellphone or Ed Hardy shirt collection and give the position to someone who actually wants to help customers.

Been checking around and still no series 2. Are they really out or what? Is the line dying? Where's Wheat King? Why is Walmart clearancing them and not restocking?
I'll have to try and ask someone at Target if they have anything new in the back.

Any suggestion for how to get them to do their job right? I called a bunch of local targets yesterday and most were unhelpful. One that I went to in person when asked if they had any stock in back told me that they had to sell what's on the floor first - that helps keep the eBay'ers and collectors away, they said. I finally found one Kevin disc and they were supposed to hold it for me. I made it to the store about 4 hours later and was told that they accidentally put it back on the floor... and it was gone now, of course.

Well, next time, I'm calling and giving them the DPCI code and asking how many they have in stock (knowing they can't narrow it down to any of the 3 separate Deluxe IDs). If it sounds like alot, I'll drive to the store. I'll track down the person who works in toys and ask them to check the overstock in the back. If they refuse, I'm going straight to a manager. Whenever BS is given to me, I always go straight to the top. Game over. Unfortunately, it was my boy who made the phone call (I'm trying to get him used to talking to stores on the phone...yeah, he's at that age). Obviously, he didn't know what to do when the guy said "the stuff in the back is not for sale". I'll be making the phone calls myself tomorrow night.
The store I went to last night, the peg was full of the deluxe discs (Sams). I grabbed the guy in that department, and he scanned the peg sticker. He said there must be more in the back, and brought it out. That action by the employee brought that store THREE instant sales. Simple as that. Not only that, he showed me how the discs arrive mixed in the packing boxes...so it's impossible for them to tell what they have (if it's not on the floor) without cracking the box and looking in it.
I find it hard to believe that Target is turning down money. Stock is stock. Whether it's on the sales floor or in overstock on a top shelf, or the back stock rooms. It's all for sale (unless it's a pre-arranged thing where it's not allowed to be released before a certain date). So I'm not buying any of that. The guy was definitely lying. That's ok. I hope to run into him tomorrow night LOL

I haven't heard anything like that (the eBay'ers thing). If we have more of an item in the back, I can bring it out for them to look. Our main focus is to help the customer and drive sales. Doing anything else is counter-productive and goes against that. I wish you lived around here because I would gladly help you out with whatever you're looking for (although I do a daily check for Tron inventory. Lol).

Yeah, it's true. A lot of the items, such as the 3.75 inch figures, come in case packs. What that employee did was absolutely correct and what ALL employees should do to help you as a customer. I always offer to not only check in the back, but if we have it, go to the back and bring it out if they need me to. If any of the employees do anything otherwise, they're lying to your face and not doing their job. Getting a manager is the right thing to do in that case.
I'm not a prude or anything, in fact, I hate working for Target (people, not the company)...but I like to help people, and that's a big part of all Target employees' job. I'm really sorry for the sh*tty service you've gotten. As I said before, had you been here? I would have gladly helped you out.

While I know it's unlikely, I'm kind of hoping that the 3 man Light Jet includes something good. In a perfect world I'd say since it's a large vehicle you could include helmetless Sam and Quorra as well as black suited Kevin and make a nice set of it. It's really only new heads on recycled bodies, or in Kevin's case shoes and a coat piece. Obviously the price would be higher because of the inclusion of the figures, but it would allow Spin Masters to rope in people who may have passed on the jet but really want those figures, or people who want the jet and don't really care for the figures. Lots of companies use this model when it comes to vehicles or playsets, so it obviously works.
Realistically if they were to do something like this it'd probably only end up being one figure, but even in that case it'd be an instant purchase for me if that figure were a helmetless Sam or Quorra. While I would like a black Kevin, I can customize my own fairly easily so I wouldn't be AS enthused if it were him.
Just speculation though, for all we know they could release it bare bones like the Light Runner. I do feel the Light Runner would have been a great opportunity to have a pack in helmetless Quorra, since Spin Masters seems to be worried that an individually carded version of her will warm pegs. But even in that case I don't understand why she couldn't have had a removable helmet and been packaged with her helmet on if they were worried a girl's face would turn buyers away.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

Since they have set the precedent of having swappable head limited articulation bodies included with vehicles, I could see this plan working. Have a "husk" of both Sam and Quorra and give them the helmetless headsculpts. Then you can swap heads with the core figures. everyone wins!

I don't see that happening.
Especially when there are guys like me who are delighted to pay for the new versions with headsculpts separately.
The light runner didn't come with slugs, and I don't anticipate the 3-man Jet will either.
Can't wait to see how big this thing is.

I was honestly surprised to see that the one man light came with one, but that one didn't have a swappable head (and really no need to).
It's an interesting idea nevertheless, and one I don't think any figure maker has done in the past. Save money by including a "slug", but offer new play possibilities with a swappable head! I was very excited about that. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online http://www.10mfh.com, a great place to read nerdy stuff! |

That's a really great idea I hadn't considered as it gives people the heads they want, but still forces them to buy the individually carded figures.
I currently only own a deluxe light disc, and the reason I haven't committed to the 3 and 3/4 inch line yet is because of the fact that there's no helmetless Sam, Quorra, or Clu available, or even on the horizon. As soon as I saw the Castor figure I was ready to dive in, but then I found out he was held back before I actually got to buying any of the figures.
I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard. How much screen time do Sam, Quorra, and Clu get with helmets on? I think more people would be interested if the actual faces of the characters were there. Especially when dealing with more casual fans who liked Tron: Legacy, but don't really know much of the franchise other than that. Spin Masters may be doing the helmeted looks because they think it will appeal more to kids, but I think the way it comes across to buyers is moreso that they were too cheap/lazy to sculpt the faces. I know that's what I thought until I read the reasoning for why the Quorra figure had a helmet on and that an Olivia Wilde sculpt does exist. At the end of the day I think figures with removable helmets would have pleased everyone, but we're past that point so I just hope it's not too late to get those characters sans helmets. Considering that a tentative series 3 is said to be based on the game, I'm not feeling very optimistic about it.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill End of line |

id still be optomistic they would be in series three even if it is based off the game, quorra was a large part of the story in the game and was helmetless, tron was in it helmetless and blue(but new suit) clu was helmetless, then there are all the iso characters, gibson, anon ect ect so there is still a possablitiy of them being in series 3 even if based on the game
