Consider yes, but remember toys are a BUSINESS first - if what's out there doesnt' sell then you can guarantee that there won't be more.

Look at Playmates DISASTER that was Summer of 2009 - Terminator Salvation and Star Trek - BOTH lines are still sitting on TRU pegs warming them up because - let's face it, those figures SUCKED. That said there was a second wave of figures that were prototyped and ready to go into production for Star Trek - they were BEAUTIFUL and were improved upon the first wave - and they got cancelled because the first wave didn't sell.

The toy business is a fickle beast, I've been following it for over 20 years, you can see this stuff coming. We'll be lucky to get Castor and maybe a few repaints at this point, though there may be another wave when the DVD/Blu-Ray hit. Unless there's new media later in 2011 we've probably gotten all we're going to get.

And I really hate to say this because I want MORE TRON FIGURES.

It's just plain unfortunate. They'd probably still be able to move them if they had more than 9 figures available. I'm holding out for a DVD release wave though. It would make sense. Oh I really am hoping you guys are right and the line WILL continue - but after the last couple of years of movie toys - I'm just no longer optimistic about any movie related toy lines anymore.

But I do agree that in my area the figures do seem to be selling well enough, I'm hoping for some restocks.

After some problems with money and stuff, I finally got a chance to get out to Target again today. Still no series 2 anything anywhere. This time my friend and I asked a clerk, and they said they have no series 2 in the back or anything. He had been looking for them too, but it turns out they just don't have any. Which is odd, because I thought the toys had shipped to all the stores already. Unless the guy was lying to us, and just kept all the series 2 stuff for himself... I kind of doubt it though. He was a nice guy and into the same stuff we liked. We talked for a bit about it.

So I guess I'll have to go search elsewhere. Again. I'm really getting tired of disappointment though. Every single time I go looking, I come back empty handed. I haven't seen a series 2 guy since I got my Quorra and Jarvis (luckily.)

They were solicited and pre-orders were taken, but there weren't enough to warrant actual production. AFAIK the figures never made it out of prototyping stage. I could swear that I've seen them on eBay too (the prototypes). If they had been actually produced and packaged they would be out in the wild - one only has to look as far as the current line of GI Joe - they cancelled several items recently that were Target exclusives (Target cancelled the order) - and those toys were produced and packaged and ended up at Ross and other discount stores (and then they were promptly snapped up by Joe collectors at ridiculous prices).


Gosh I sure wish Wheat King would post something again. I wonder if Castor has actually been produced or if they held him back completely. Though to hold back Castor and push forward with Jarvis (who admittedly had more screen time but was more of a minor character) doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Still hoping for more Tron goodness. Of course with a third movie in the works, that's more of a reason to keep going.

I imagine that the Die-Cast are selling well also, considering how they're constantly gone when I go looking for Tron Toys.
