I was also wondering if you and ID (or anyone else on this board) had met each other IRL before? I also Hope that Bruce will attend an East Coast con sometime soon

Finally home, ShadowSpark. I could go to bed now and wake up normally, I'm so tired. But it was a real fun time at the Con. You saw some programs I see. I only saw guys wearing Flynn Lives t-shirts.

I saw Bruce Friday when the lines for autographs were short, and the celebs took time to talk. He had some photos from Tron and T:L, his westerns and such but not one Scarecrow and Mrs King. I told him I had one at the hotel. I mentioned how much I loved the sparkly suits in the original, when I was a kid, but as I grew older, I really started to appreciate them. He laughed hard at that one. Ladies, just look at the old movie sometime from a costumers POV. Wow. ;-) I also stated that it was Alan who inspired me to take programming classes, but I discovered, I hated programming. He whispered "So does Alan."

I asked about Cindy Morgan, when we talked about how fans would have acted if he had not been in T:L. His view of Hollywood wasn't glowing. But he said she couldn't be in it physically. I thought he meant for some illness or other, but he meant the requirements of the film. I replied Lora was Alan's wife, and if Alan was in it, why not Lora. But I stated I meant that had he not been in it, seeing the uproar over Ms Morgan, the uproar would have been greater had Alan been left out. Somewhere during our talk, he called me "darlin". That western influence is very apparent. He signed a pic of him as Alan talking to Sam, with: To Lisa, Love Bruce Boxleitner 'Tron' Nice guy with a lovely smile.

At his talk the next day, he mentioned being on the Board of Governers of the National Space Society. He very much supports the space program, and is quite upset that the government is seemingly throwing it away. He talked alot about Babylon 5 and Tron. He seems to be anti Hollywood when it comes to the suits who make decisions. He called himself to me a B list actor and I said not. He said oh yes he wasn't considered A list because he mostly does TV. Did ShadowSpark mention that Bruce said Jeff, Garrett and Olivia have all been signed on for T:L 2 ( or 3 as you look at it) but he has not yet. I told him the previous day that Alan will be needed to help Sam. He has to be in the next film!

I saw him the next day to take my Scarecrow pic to be signed. Loved talking with other Bruce/Tron fans while waiting in line. I mentioned that I agreed with his views on NASA, and that he should speak out more as his fans would back him in any way possible. He said it was a shame that people don't remember what it was like in the early days of the space program. I said people have forgotten all we've received from it, and he agreed. I also gave him my Utah souvenir of choco covered peanuts called Bear Poop. He turned to a friend who was standing behind him saying with a smile, "She gave me sh-t!" I must have turned three shades of red, saying it was a genuine Utahn souvenir. He then told me has been to Utah and Sundance many times. Bet he never had bear poop though.

Bruce is a decidely opinionated and outspoken man who has fervent beliefs he stands for. I can respect him for that. He also seems a bit bitter about the divorce, poor guy, but smiled easily and was very gracious to his fans. On my second pic however, I did not get Love Bruce. LOL I guess once will have to last me.

Rest of the Con was equally fun. I met Wil Wheaton, Robbie McNeill from whom I received a big bear hug. His publicist offered to take a pic and I said security said we couldn't. But he insisted. Who am I to turn down a hug from Tom Paris? He wanted to see the Wil Wheaton pic I had autographed. Evil Wil with Sheldon on TBBT.

My Bruce pics turned out small even though I was in the 2nd row;poor camera. :-P

Funniest part for me was then the escalator going to the dealers room level just stopped. It was hard to catch oneself from toppling forward, even though those things don't go very fast. What was funny was....no one moved. "Are we stuck here then?" One guy shouted, "A stopped escalator is just a set of stairs." We all laughed and started down.

Thanks for posting the video clips, Spark! And thanks for the synopsis, Iluthra! It's great to hear that there will (most likely) be another TRON film! Bruce seems like a very cool guy! Watching the Q&A session was very entertaining! He had me literally laughing out loud at times! I'm glad yall had a great time at the Con! And it's good to hear that Bruce/TRON still fights for the Users!! LOL!

Sadly, he is not going to be at D*C this year so I'm not going to bother going as we are trying to go back to Disney World in September anyways for our 3rd Anniversary. Hopefully will run into some Tron stuff there I have actually ran into Celebs there many times over my 30+ trips so who knows? Maybe he will be there vacationing the same week. Hey I can dream hehe

Hey Spark, I just saw your pic with Bruce! That's awesome! And you did a great job on your costume! I think it's safe to say that you had a pretty good time there at the Con! LOL!
