So that's where the 170mn. budget went into. Reusable sets.

Did someone notice the fireworks at the game grid (right before the light cycle race) image 3D objects. As far as I saw it on DVD, I guess one of them could be the hidden Mickey Mouse.

Yeah and the Space Paranoids sign looks brighter than the Real World one. This is odd considering where Sam popped out, the streets looked dead. i think it's a deliberate part of the story that castors
is right across flynn's

its easy enough to copy paste a new background for that
portion of the screen if they wanted to. the scene is only
90 frames.

what is not apparent is the reason why castor or clu
would put the bar on flynn's street

If it's one thing that I've learnt from watching Hollywood blockbusters (and watching the extra features on DVDs) is that, when it comes to special effects, the producers (and, in this case, the set designers) have to apply a certain amount of practicality when it comes to the actual design of the sets.

Here's two examples:

* In Bladerunner, they used parts of the Tyrell Corporation building to build another building which appeared later in one of the cityscapes scenes (a triangular shaped building).
* And in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, in the scenes that take place at Starfleet Command in San Fransico, there is a strange brown alien sitting at a computer consule whilst the alien probe causes havoc on Earths weather.
That SAME consule was afterwards used in the Enterprise's Engineering in Star Trek: The Next Generation (which came out about a year later).

Like I said, there is a certain amount of practicality in whole they do things, so the same thing might happen here.

People noticed the stairs, thus their theory that Castor may have had a way out before the explosion. But these pairs of stairs go up. Up where?

the time elapsed from flynn's flashbacks
to clu's arrival is about 3hrs 45min

we can say the upper limit of sam's travel time
from flynn's hideout to castor's cannot exceed
3hrs 45min

can we say that flynn's hideout could be anywhere
from an hour to 2 1/2 hrs from castors?

its a little hard to figure out the times because
i also have to factor in the travel time of
flynn and quorra's lightrunner from hideout to castors.

i also have to factor in the spotlight signal castor sent
when the lights at the base of castor's building lit up.
(which by the way was visible to clu when he was in
flynn's hideout)

Just noticed this during the Disc Wars; Rinzler left footprints while running up the wall when the gravity changed!





And the team member's names on the Light Cycle grid: Vint, Raskin, Sam, Wilkes and Cerf (from left to right).
