Spark you said you have a continuation of the post... so, think I'll just reply with a very brief one, ... just wanna' have Flynn hang back and watch what's going on, kinda like he's uneasy, senses something happening but isn't sure what.

Quick question for you guys --
.....ok, I don't wanna derail our plot as it's going right now, and I do wanna keep the flow between Spark, Rinzler, Tron and Clu just as it's proceeding......but also wondering, should Flynn maybe make a real quick/real short reply to Clu 1.0's latest question in the RP, which was -

Flynn could right then have the sudden realization that when they go back to the past Clu 1.0 is gonna get derezzed if he repeats the past mistake of firing the second shot at the Reco and then spinning the tank into the gulley. And yet Flynn doesn't wanna scare him by telling him that, so maybe he could just tell him not to fire that shot? Since by that point as time repeats itself, Clu 1.0 will have already found the Dillinger files anyway, Flynn can maybe give Clu 1.0 the advance-directive to drop the mission once he does find the files, and to retreat, to get to safety instead?

(my thinking is that even without Clu's derezzing the original Tron story would have probably played out sorta the same way...in fact it might've been even better for them to have had Clu 1.0 there to help them when Tron and Flynn were battling with Sark/MCP there at the very last . If I had to guess at why they didn't take that approach with the script when making the original Tron, it would be maybe because having Bridges appear in the same scene as both Flynn and Clu 1.0. would have been too much of a stretch of what they were technologically capable of doing in-camera back when the film was made, or would have taken them too far over-budget to pull it off?)

Anyway,...thoughts?.........

Okay, good point, but, so,...now still wondering what our 82 Flynn is supposed to say to Clu 1.0? He has to acknowledge Clu 1.0's question somehow.
Flynn being as caring as he is, my gut says that if he now knows that Clu 1.0 took a certain path and certain actions in the past which led to his demise, then he's surely gonna try to tell Clu 1.0 something that will help him avoid doing that same thing again in the future, right?

Also.. What would be the point of Flynn caring and saving Clu2 if he didnt also want to at least try and save Clu1? And he knows his fate.. However.. If we were trying not to mess up the canon.. Then.. Well it would I think.. Like Spark said.. I think it would have made a difference.. A big difference in the original.

Well, I mean this is the OCC thread. And I didnt know Clu 2 would let Azure fly a jet. Its a bit dangerous.
