ok.. It would have to be a quick and massive blast like an EMP pulse. Anything less they would just feed off of it. But its possible Flynn and Spark can harness that kind of power.. And I love the idea that it would shorten the portal time.

Clu 3.0, hey, remember when you and I were talking ideas for something along the lines of a diversion to draw the scavengers in, right? Like creating a decoy program, something, so...what if once the scavengers start feeding on that maybe THEN Flynn and Spark put the sudden power whammy on, by acting as conduits of the Grid/portal energy? And we have the jets opening fire on them from above too?
It could work.

On the contrary, of course it could also blow out the whole Grid too.
And, that conduit idea places both Flynn and Spark in a very dangerous position, which they'd probably both know that so they'd be reticent...plus, like we talked about before, Flynn would only be likely to try a potentially-lethal stunt like that as a very last resort when all else had failed, or like in the case of a sudden, "daddy-powers-activate" thing - meaning if Clu were in danger from scavengers Flynn would risk his life to save him.
